Your Neighbor. Your Advocate. Your Attorney.

Kollan R. Kolthoff, Founder

Kollan R. Kolthoff is the founder of Iowa River Legal, PLLC, a rural Iowa law firm focused on practical, accessible legal help close to home.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa in 2017, studying Applied Sciences and Political Science, and graduated from Drake University Law School with his juris doctorate in 2020.

Before opening Iowa River Legal, Kollan served as an Assistant County Attorney in multiple counties, where he gained strong courtroom, negotiation, and problem-solving experience. That work shaped his belief that the law should help people move forward — not overwhelm them.

Today, Kollan brings that approach to families, individuals, farmers, and small-town businesses across rural Iowa with clear guidance, fair pricing, and genuine care.
